I was surprised that they are all one piece. I thought it was strange but they work great. My friend just asked where I got them. I plan on ordering a set for her.

I don't often leave reviews unless it is to warn other consumers of poor product... but I have decided to leave an excellent review for this product because I feel strongly that it is worth sharing my opinion on it. These are superior knives... they are very sharp and cut effortlessly through anything you put in front of them. They are immensely sturdy (and yes heavy, not necessarily a bad thing) which aids in cleanly cutting through foods. The weight adds to its stability and balance. I have used them on tomatoes (which many know don't cut easily with unserated knives) and I can cut through them with ultimate ease. Steak also cuts wonderfully without ripping the meat to shreds. I have not seen any issues from putting them in the dishwasher, they done out clean and shiny every time. I will recommend these knives to everyone who wants a great steak knive for everyday use!!!
